Institute News List

Use

This will be the page template for listing all Institute news items.

Populating the Page

Sitecore will leverage the treelist structure to only display news items that correspond to the parent Institute. For example, creating a news listing page under the main Structural Engineering Institute page will cause the page to only reference and display the detail pages under the Structural Engineering Institute.

Layout

Page will have a full-width layout. While the page will appear to be comprised of multiple components, there will in fact be one component on the page that leverages the design elements found in other components. Any piece of news content that is placed under an institute (e.g. SEI) will appear on the page, with the most recent piece appearing as the first item. As new content is published, the items will shift down the page. The listing view will reference and display the following fields from each detail page:

• page featured image

• page teaser text

• content type (Source, publication, education, etc.)

• location (if applicable)

• date (if applicable)

• Institute

• credits (if applicable)

The page will display 5 items in the listing view before displaying a full-width promo to join ASCE. Under this promo an additional 5 items will display, with a "see all" button at the bottom of the page. Clicking will take users to a search page filtered by the topic included on the page.

Hover State & Linking

All clickable items will include a hover state to indicate this. Clicking will:

• take a user to the corresponding detail page OR

• begin the join process
